This delicious recipe features Chikiriya’s Rooibos tea (Redbush tea). The tea is made with Aspalathus linearis grown in South Africa.
Rooibos tea is usually drunk with milk and sugar. Chikiriya Tea House wanted to stick close to the original South African recipe for this rooibos chai latte recipe.
The recipe is also delicious as it is without cinnamon sugar.
Rooibos tea: 2 tea bags (8 g)
Milk: 200 ml
Cinnamon sugar: a suitable amount
Best way to prepare
1. Pour 200 ml of milk into a pan and add 2 tea bags (8 g). Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes and shake the pot as necessary to prevent it from boiling.
2. Pour into a cup and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar to taste.
