Our matcha is made from Tencha leaves, which are covered for about 30 days, steamed, and then dried without kneading. The final step to create this premium Kyoto Uji matcha involves carefully grinding the Tencha leaves with a stone mill.
By grinding the tea leaves with a millstone, we achieve an exceptionally fine grain, resulting in high-quality matcha with a pleasant, mellow taste that foams easily.
