We use the first tea leaves grown in a traditional tea production in Uji, in the southern Kyoto Prefecture area.
Traditional steaming method passed down in Kyoto since ancient times
Once the tea leaves are picked, they are immediately steamed to stop fermentation. Then, the tea leaves are repeatedly rubbed and dried to break down the fibers and make it easier to extract the flavor and nutrients. Finally, the green tea is finely twisted to create a beautiful finish.
