Sourced exclusively from 100% first-flush Shizuoka-grown leaves, prized for their natural intensity and smooth vegetal backbone, Kogane is slowly roasted over live charcoal embers by skilled artisans, using the far-infrared (遠赤) method for an even, deep roast that no machine can replicate.

The result is a hojicha of exceptional character: a rich, dark amber liquor with a toasted grain and caramel aroma, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a long, warming finish. Remarkably sweet for its level of astringency.
