宇治茶「おくみどり」は、鮮やかな翡翠色ときめ細かな舌触りが自慢の抹茶品種。春一番の時期に収穫されたこの抹茶は、苦味を最小限に抑えながら、繊細なうま味とほのかな甘みを持つ、バランスのとれた豊かな味わいが特徴です。
「宇治物語」シリーズ
宇治は、日本有数の茶産地のひとつで、特に高級抹茶や玉露の産地として知られています。鎌倉時代以降800年以上もの長い歴史があり、茶文化とともに発展してきました。
日本を代表する文学作品のひとつ『源氏物語』は、紫式部が千年前に書いた長編小説で、五十四帖の最後の十帖は、宇治が舞台になっています。
ちきりやの「宇治物語」シリーズは、この源氏物語をオマージュしたもので、平安時代の流れるような美しい黒髪の女性をモチーフに、時代の中で変わっていく一瞬の美しさに見出す「もののあはれ」を描き、一杯のお茶を通じて、京都の歴史や文化までも感じていただきたいという思いを込めています。

『宇治物語』シリーズの抹茶は、京都宇治白川で約200年にわたりお茶づくりをされている小島茶園の6代目にあたる山下雅之氏に監修して頂きました。
第66回全国茶審査技術競技大会 個人優勝、全国茶品評会 農林水産大臣賞を4度受賞するなど、優れた観察眼で品質を見極めて、日々美味しいお茶づくりに取り組まれています。
