The tea is made with organic certified Backhousia citriodora ​grown in Australia.

The leaves are immediately dried after harvesting to preserve the flavor. The leaves opened to the perfect size are selected in the right amount to be cut and packed in pyramid shaped tea bags. Pyramid shaped tea bags allow the whole leaf teas to expand during brewing.

This non-caffeine tea is perfect to relax or to drink before sleep.

About Backhousia citriodora レモンハーブの女王

Backhousia citriodora is a flowering plant in the family Myrtaceae, genus Backhousia. The plant is endemic to Queensland subtropical rainforests. You can see the creamy-white flowers blooming from summer into autumn. (In Japan you can see it blooming from late June to early July.) Citral is the main ingredient contained within the lemon myrtle leaf. It gives the plant a lemon-like refreshing scent. Backhousia citriodora possesses an antibacterial and antifungal action. It is also a powerful insect repellent flowering plant. Hence it is widely used in the food and cosmetic industries.
